I'm planning on making a vast sourdough pizza tonight, topped with garlicky field mushrooms, charred peppers and onion, ricotta, mozzarella, and sliced black olives.
Prawn and fennel spaghetti for me. Pasta with prawns and cucumber for the boy. Pasta with horrible sauce from a jar for the girl (I mean, she likes it, but).
I got a chicken to roast and some yellow stickered little Jersey Royal potatoes which I think I am going to parboil and roast with rosemary and thyme. Also have some green beans, and a couple of stuffing balls that I found in the freezer yesterday
(You know when your freezer gets so rammed that you forget what is at the back and you don't really go looking if you want something quick to eat because of the freezer tetris involved in getting it all back in? I had a proper rummage yesterday and found things including stuffing balls so of course I immediately fancied a roast!)
(Am going to make potato salad with the rest of the Jersey Royals, will have some for lunch tomorrow with some leftover chicken).
Lamb shish from Marks and Sparks with a pickled dill cucumber, baby beets and a bit of seedy baguette. Budvars and weed as both amuse-bouche and digestif.
