What's for tea tonight? (#8)

I've had some chicken legs marinating in yoghurt and tandoori paste overnight and am waiting for my girlfriend to come round to stick them in. I hope she's not much longer. I'm really hungry.

I've also got some red cabbage that I was going to serve along with rice which I'm trying to decide what to do with.

same as yesterday - chicken and butternut squash curry, followed by apple pie (both made by me, apples were from garden). one day till break away

Made lentil soup yesterday to save time today, so that. Flavoured with good veg stock, celery, carrot, onion/garlic, mushroom ketchup, fresh parsley and thyme. Fucking nom. We'll have it with a garlic baguette each, even though it's really quite warm. We're greedy, what can I say?

And then some choccy doughnuts for afters cos me dad gave them to us and it'd be rude not to.

Can of Bombay potatoes 324 Kcals
bag of crunchy salad - 85 kcals
Burgundy - 160 kcals

Total 569 kcals ...

Let's hope I can minimise the muesli indulgence tonight ....

Big salad, lettuce, green beans, potato, smoked mackerel, raw red cabbage and dressing. It was ok. Desperately needed stilton though :-(

broccoli, tofu, and rice noodles with peanut sauce.

The sauce was made by the nice lady who runs the asian food store a few blocks from where I live. She's also got this chili sauce that's quite good. All you have to do to make dinner is grab a couple of tablespoons of the sauce and stir fry anything else you want with it. Easy.

Bowl of sausage casserole earlier which was v nice but got a bit peckish just now so had a banana, some figs and an apple. I've developed a bit of a fig habit of late, might have some more in a bit. Pricey though aren't they? Anyone know anywhere online that does em cheap?

Some cut and come again salad from the greenhouse and half a can of leftover chickpeas - and then I tried a handful of raw runner beans as a salad ...
Either way, not very much food - but I know I'm probably going to over-indulge in muesli anyway so my calories will easily be sufficient.

Got a big pot of veg bubbling away. Not sure whether to add couscous or buckwheat.
I added a serving spoonful of red lentils in the end. Good tea, breakfast and lunch today.

This evening I have a small amount of leftover gnocchi bake from Sunday which I'll have with tender stem broccoli and sugar snap peas.

I think they may be out of season.
I get my figs from an Indian shop and there weren't any to be seen last week - lots of lovely deglet nour dates though ...

Actually it's an Indian-run shop transplanted from Africa so they may have a wider range of foods than many such shops.

I decided to try a slimming world recipe for paprika chicken. So far so 80s. I wasn't concentrating and ended up putting 3 tablespoons of cayenne in the pan instead of paprika. [emoji1] Mr Looby ate it but I couldn't touch it, one tiny bite and my mouth was on fire. [emoji35]
I'm hungry and a bit grumpy now.

I finally broke. I've been working so hard on keeping my diet until Friday. (I have a checkup at the doctor's office). Had a giant pile of fast food French fries and a raspberry Slushee. Just couldn't take all that healthy for one more day.
