What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Chicken, sweet potato, tenderstem broccoli and asparagus.

Will have a late afternoon snack of prawns, smoked salmon and rocket too.

Salmon en croute and mashed potatoes.

Also, I made chutney today.

But it can't be eaten for several weeks at least.

Girl had had a lunch box tea on the train.

Tea for me... maybe cheese toasties, or possibly chorizo fried up with onions, runner beans and white wine :hmm:

back from a 20 mile bike ride ... had a banana a couple of hours ago as indurance for the journey home...

First course was a small can of gigantes baked beans, with added pine nuts for added authenticity .. I must see if I can find a way to use up all the jars of capers I have ... pickles I can eat on a diet...

Might have stuffed cabbage next - though the rice is a bit naughty and I also have rice to eat up ...

Canned ratatouille is a likely alternative ...

Weird and not great dinner for us. We had veggie katsu curry bakes which were weird and tasted of nothing, edamame beans, corn on the cob and chunky chips. The only thing I really enjoyed or finished was the sweetcorn. I was going to make Mr Looby swap his for something of mine but he ate them first, the food separatist weirdo.

courgetti, cherry toms, turkey pesto.

someone *glares* ate the bacon i was going to make courgette carbonara with but the above was a delicious replacement

We've got his turkey curry tonight and it's my favourite. It's one of those mouthwatering curries that are really refreshing, not at all claggy, light and fresh and spicy/hot mmmmmmmm

I had a big hearty chicken stew with chunks of veg and savoury scones. My old dear slyed some homegrown chili in there as part of her campaign to make even the most sacredly bland of english food HOTTER THAN THE SUN! MORE PAINFUL ON THE TONGUE THAN MAGMA ON THE BELLEND! ALL SHALL EAT THIS RIDICULOUSLY SPICEY ROAST DINNER AND DESPAIR

it was v. nice though even if it did require a bucket of coke to wash away the hotness.

BBQ, for me it can't be anything else in this weather, so kebabs, burgers, corn and Greek salad. Bonus being that's lunch for the next cpl of days too.

Roasted belly pork with fennel seeded crackling, on top of what I hope will turn out to be an apple, onion and sage sort of mush. With roasted garlic and rosemary spuds, roast squash, some carrots and broccoli. Gravy from pan juices and cider

canned ratatouille - hope to get more flavour from yesterday's garlic cloves ..
Lately I've been eating canned sardines on weekends so perhaps those.
