What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Have made the garlic and chilli pizza knots that were on top of Reddit last week. Seems to be rising OK, might take a snap after they've baked.

Rest of the diced steak, kind of a ratatouillewith onion, garlic, spinach, tomatoes tinned, new potatoes, aubergine, pepper. Nectarine, pink lady apple, orange, loads of hot chocolate as time of the month and no chocolate in house so thatll do as not going out again.

Can of Aldi chickpea dahl - 386kcals
salad
can of ratatouille - 170kcals
small can of mushy peas - 228 kcals
tahini - 150 kcals ?

total 934 kcals .:(

Against that I had a very light breakfast and lunch - so I'm easily under the 2500 kcals, but I would really like to get down to 2000 ...

I had a big bowl of leftovers when I got back from college at 3 then I had crisps so no dinner for me. [emoji1]
We just had some chocolate tart and vanilla ice cream. The tart tasted a bit of onion as Mr s put some chopped onion in the fridge but didn't wrap it up properly. [emoji35]

Turned out perfectly; a textbook example of my making something for the first time and everything going right - I just didn't like it, and most of it has gone in the bin. It's not a pizza by any means - it's an especially dry tear 'n' share (to my culinary shame, I should've worked this out  ). I might consider similar in future (possibly texmex), but some flavour HAS to go into the dough, or it's overwhelmingly meh. Rolling out the dough, then slicing and knotting it, is pretty pointless too - they may as well be dough balls. I've made clear previously my dislike of Deep Pan pizzas, and this reminds me a little of them, but without the vaguely satisfying initial 'bite' :(

I would try it with fresh thyme and oregano chopped up really fine and kneaded into the dough, and olive oil drizzled over before cooking- if it's too dry by itself then something to dip it in (sour cream or a garlicky salsa or some other dip) might work.
It looks and sounds as though it ought to be good!

Portobello mushrooms stuffed with roasted red peppers and red onions, and topped with goats cheese and a lattice of puff pastry strips; with
Cauliflower couscous (thanks Yu_Gi_Oh x x ) with stirfried carrot, courgette, red chillis, onions, and fine beans; with
Broad bean and green Harissa hummous; with
A bag of pea shoots that I got reduced to clear; with
A parsley salad (flat leaf parsley, spring onions, radishes, cucumber and cherry tomatoes).
