What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Japanese food tonight, Ichiman, on Abbey Street - salmon tempura, rainbow rolls, sticky rice and all the rest....from one of Dublin's new joints of stratospephric standards....Dublin is one of these cities who had crap food 10 years ago, but now has an extremely powerful competitive scene across all restaurants (resulting in an extraordinarily high standard of new restaurants and vile, unmerciful but sometimes kind, passionate and extremely sharp reviewers like me writing about/ sometimes exposing them - its a disposable and vulnerable scene - not a lie - restaurants have closed or reinvented themselves and their menus on the basis of our words)

Roast chicken is in the oven!! i loosened the skin and based it with butter, stuffing it with half a lemon and a few cloves of garlic. Sprinkled with mixed herbs. Will serve with mashed spuds with scallions and cream, and cauliflour and (shop bought) parsley sauce (this is all for my Dad!). Dessert is the rather excellent (and impossible to make!) profiteroles from Lidl. The booze is a cheap claret (€5.49 from Lidl and not bad at all)

Turkey, cabbage and a little bit of leftover roast pork. Might have some cottage cheese with peanut butter later too.
