What's for tea tonight? (#8)

I made a lush pasta sauce yesterday and had it with farfalle yesterday, penne today.
The sauce was just garlic, onion, tomatoes, marjoram and the meat from a luganega, a herby (fennel i think) italian sausage that comes in a coil. Won't be buying that again in a hurry as I got it from the posh deli nearby at a price that I do not dare recall, but that I cannot continue to justify spending. Will try doing it again with less dear sausagemeat. Marjoram is an excellent but underused herb. Why is it so rarely spotted in shops?

Mangy twat on the side with a little melted butter on.

We had 2 couples from the UK for dinner last night and while talking about strange expressions in the UK and Canada, the term "Mangy Twat" came up. I did not hear what it was. the only reference I found on google was mangetout. But she did say to use the leftovers for Welsh Rarebit, so I am confused. Can you help?

Fast day for me so tea will be whatever M&S ready meal I hurriedly pulled out of the freezer this morning.
The menfolk will have jacket spuds with a choice of toppings, I took some of last week's BBQ pork out of the freezer so they can have that, or cheese N beans.

tuna pasta bake. The pasta is them twirls. You know the ones. Tuna was canned in sunflour oil rather than ordinary brine so thats going right into the dish.
I miss tuna pasta bake :( although i used to put butter beans in mine :p

Sausage rolls here. As in actual sausages in bread rolls. With bits. Dunno what yet. Condiments. Baked beans maybe. Nutrition

I'm contemplating opening a can of Bombay potatoes - but I would need to have some sort of pudding or I'll be tasting it all night.. :hmm:

You should make bibimbap, you'd love it!

You might need to check for fish ingredients in a couple of the korean bits though.

That looks interesting.

For the record it's only a gout attack last year that's made me vegan again - if I can lose some weight I might well be ready to dabble in fish again ...

I'm tempted to go to a branch of Waitrose in posho Cheshire and ask loudly whether they stock mangy twat. :D
