What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Last night was 2 crusty rolls from the TB with brie in one and St Agur in the other. Scone with jam and cream for pud

Tonight we're out at an Italian place for a birthday meal for the OH so I suspect it will be pasta of some variety :)

I'm currently thinking of a cheese and chive omelette, with a dollop of caramelised onion houmous on the side, black olives, courgette slices in olive oil, iceberg salad, and roast veg couscous.

Hmmm. Do I have wine or not. Beers on Wednesday, red wine last night...don't want to overdo it too soon on a BH weekend.

Then again, I AM going to be trudging and hurting me knuckles for a while after work, so I probably DESERVE some booze after that, and himself it out for two nights at gigs it turns out! Hmmm. Advice?

a sort of tomato-y/red pepper and paprika stew with chicken legs, chorizo, morchila, chickpeas and some greens and wild garlic at the end. looking like I'll make wedgies with them as patatas bravas would just be too much red

The chicken had turned fizzy the other night when I was meant to cook it with Moroccan spices, so that tonight. I know it's not authentic but I'm adding loads of chilli because I'm fucking ill  And because it's BH weekend, got a nice fat draw for starter and afters :)

Made carbonara (the 'cheats' kind as its called, and not following the traditional method with egg yolks, and instead using double cream ), pancetta, onion, garlic, mushrooms, and parsley....with parmesan. Served with spaghetti and garlic bread. Vanilla cheesecake (from the TB) for afters, and toffee cake - i dont eat big desserts and a small sliver is fine for me, and sometimes i will have two. i'd prefer a piece of intense good quality dark chocolate with orange or something (never fell for the 'salted caramel' fad). I love panacotta if im out. I must have a dessert every day though!

You've inspired me to have tinned salmon for dinner, with baby new potatoes and mayo, all mixed together.

That reminds me that I've got several tins of salmon lurking somewhere in the cupboard - need to start using them. But not until I've worked my way through the other two packs of salmon/pesto that I bought today. :)
