What's currently good on the BBC iPlayer?

Yeah, the ending was not what I was expecting but I enjoyed it nevertheless.
Do you reckon it's been set up for a second series?
Definitely set up for it. I'm not sure they could really pull it off tho, not to the same extent, it would be even more played for laughs, I reckon.

Yeah I can't remember plots, I started episode 1 when it first went up then realised the rest of it wasn't available yet, so am waiting til it's finished airing and the whole thing is on iPlayer.
Fuck knows how I managed to follow anything before streaming was a thing.
I didn't know they'd done that until I watched 2 eps and then it stopped! Grrr. I have to keep watching a week apart now though cos not sure how many eps, and if more than one, I really will forget absolutely everything.

Oh, I just checked - apparently it's 6 episodes long, so that is a fair old wait for me 😭

There's no way of doing that is there, if it's not aired?
No, hence the withering look.

Even more annoyingly, I thought it was only 5 episodes, if there are 6 we'll be away for the last episode and will have forgotten everything by the time we get back. Grrrrr.

I’m waiting for the next Woman in the Wall episode and recently enjoyed The Following Events. What else will I like?

(I’m in a strange land on someone else’s TV, and they only really have iPlayer).

Enjoyed the repeat of Michael Cockerell's 1995 profile of Barbara Castle on BBC Four last night. Made when members of the Wilson Governments were still alive. And the documentary about Bridget Riley which followed it.

Watched all six episodes of Juice last night and was very sleepy at work today. Not laugh out loud funny, certainly, but completely charming throughout

Just finished The Woman In The Wall.

I was a little unsure at first as to how they were going to mix the story of those atrocities that happened in Ireland with not only a slightly Horror/ Thriller vibe but also a dose of humour, but I think they absolutely smashed it.
Was upsetting but a really gripping watch too.

The Dr Lorna speaks to in the primary school in the final episode, the way he so quickly turned from "I'll do anything to help" to "You can't be trusted your a mentally ill, lying whore (basically)" made me so angry I wanted to reach into the screen and castrate him!!!

Anyone watched KBerg's StateOfChaos

Seeing the trailer I initially thought "don't go there, lets forget," but it has exclusive Civil Service and SPAD interviews that makes it compelling.
We're all bored of Tory drama but it was brilliant to hear from people behind the scenes. A real chuckle.

Dara O Briain - So Where Were We?

Stand up. Was good. I like his humour and he tells a really interesting story in the second half.

Steeltown Murders is excellent: very upsetting but in a slow and dignified way - no violence on screen, just an exploration of the effects of it on those left behind. One episode left to go.

Having enjoyed the repeat of Michael Cockerell's 1995 profile of Barbara Castle I discovered they have also repeated his profiles of Ted Heath from 1998 and of Roy Jenkins from 1996. Watched the Heath one with great interest - only on the iplayer for another 12 days.

And they've put up the original three part Wars of the Roses, the RSC's adaptation of four of Shakespeare's history plays. I saw some of this when it was first broadcast in 1965. Be interesting to see what it looks like now. Quite a cast.
