I thought it was 'lifehouse' ..

Many of the songs ended up on the Whos Next LP - notably Baba O'Riley.

Chris Stamp (the whos manager at the time) siad that no-one bar townshend has ever claimed to understand what the fuck its about. It always sounded like a load of quasi-mysitcal mumbo jumbo to me.

Yep you're right it is Lifehouse not Lighthouse.

There are various lifehouse projects available from Pete Townshend's website. Who's Next has a lot of stuff culled from lifehouse on it

Didn't the finished version get broadcast on R3 a few years back? Or did I imagine it?

Reading that it was planned, but I have no idea if it was broadcast. If it was then hopefully it should be available for download somewhere...

Yeah - I was on a train and couldn't get very good reception, and I remember trying to work out where R3 was on the dial.
