... and even discussing such shit, on his part, is hardly likely to reduce terrorism. Without wanting to kick off the liberals vs class thing, it is hard to think of a recent US president who could manage to come up with such idiocy. Even Dubya only got as far as 'evil doers' and a 'crusade'. It's partly Trump's own bizarre mix of nastiness and outright weirdness, but this kind of statement takes us right back to the idea of populism. I don't think he can conceive of his own outpourings being mediated or managed.
