I've been a veggie for 35 years and, though I ate most meat and fish beforehand, I've never tasted curried goat.....

Smoked paprika (pimenton) in a dodgy little tin from TK Maxx. Terrific - smokey and tasty and with just enough burn to make your mouth tingle but not cause a coughing fit. (sprinkled over some fried potatoes, not on its own obviously.)
I shall make that tonight! Also only discovered this recently. There's a great recipe for roasted carrot soup with smoked paprika and rosemary.

Turns out this is much nicer with just salami, peperoni and grilled red pepper as the filling. Yummy yummsciousI have also made aubergine stacks: grilled slices of aubergine made as a triple sandwich (using pesto as the maragrine) with salami, tomato, cheese and peperoni as the filling. And baked in the oven. Very tasty.
