Olive tapenade? Can be a smooth or coarse pasteI tried something new recently but not quite sure exactly what it was. I got it from a Singaporean friend who said it's just known as "olive". It was in a jar and if they were olives, they were shredded/minced. Texture a bit like bean paste. It was really nice, anyway.
Maybe one of the Asian based Urbz knows what it is Dandred or Yu_Gi_Oh ?
It was similar to that, but more solid. Imagine an olive version of sauerkraut if that's possible. Hard to describe. And I was drunk so maybe misremembering.Olive tapenade? Can be a smooth or coarse paste
Wow, I found it by Googling "Singapore olive"Olive tapenade? Can be a smooth or coarse paste
I really like pigeon. It is a bit shitty tasting though. I think the technical term is "gamey".Had pigeon for the first time the other night. It was a bit shitty tasting. I don't think I'll bother again.

for actual shit-tasting (although tbh I found it quite pleasant) try an Andouillette. I had one last year in a moment of bravery. It was ok, although I don't think I'll ever need to have another.

Blue corn tortillas. In spite of their appearance they're not mouldy, or made out of slate. Like them a lot. They're a tiny bit more delicious than ordinary maize tortillas (they've got a stronger taste of earth / vegetable / corn) but not worth paying extra megabucks for. What is worth it is the novelty value and it makes you realise just how much the colour of a food affects how you perceive it. I kept stopping and looking at them as I ate, thinking "hmmm..... blue .... weird ... hmmm...." .
(I LOATHE and never even touch blue cheese, btw. so these may yet be one of the very very few blue things I will ever eat.)
Those look really beautiful

Thanks, I already did a search I never thought corn could look so pretty. I can certainly see why people would want to use them as decoration.oh, they are! people hang the dried colored corn up as decorations in the fall. they're like jewels. do a search for colored corn if you want to see lots of different varieties
Back in the day, I discovered blue corn tortilla chips; ruinously expensive if on the dole (as I was at the time) but OMG so good, and they turned humous and crudites into half of a feast, which was vegan, vegetarian, safe for me, and which meat eaters enjoyed.<snip> Blue corn tortillas.
