What if the UK get no medals?

I don't like how they figure the standings. Canada has 10 medals, but is 21st overall, because most are bronze. I prefer to bulk count: that way, Canada is in 10th place, which isn't too shabby. :)

Not sure they are going to do better than in 1908 where they won 146 medals including 56 gold.
Not sure I want to include an Olympics in which the City of London Police Force beat the Liverpool Police Force to take gold and silver respectively for Britain in the tug of war.

You'll make up for your sorry tally at the next Winter Olympics of controlled sliding games

The Russians and Japanese are also suffering from an overabundance of silver medals giving them an unfairly low position in the table.

Well we came 4th on the table in Beijing after Russia and they're not getting as many golds so far so it's not entirely unexpected...I'm still quite surprised with how well we're doing though! Keep expecting us to stall at some point but the medals keep coming.

Spain and Portugal don't do very well compared to other Western European countries. Spain has quite a few athletes as well.

What happened?!

I'm having to sit at sister's watching weighlifting
Max Witlock pommelled out of his skin and Matt Baker nearly popped with excitement. :D
Berki came along and did an immense routine and Loius Smith went last, getting the exact same score as Mr Berki, but the Hungarian pommeller took gold, because of his score for execution.
Silver for Smith and bronze for Whitlock.

Matt Baker should get a gold for enthusiastic commentary.

I think we need to arrive at a definitive answer to OU's perfectly valid enquiries. What if the UK only got x (ie not enough?) amount of medals? WHAT THEN??!!!?!!11?
