What if the UK get no medals?

Being popular amongst the demographic of the British public that votes in this kind of contest.

Hm, what's that then? Teenagers, 18-30 year-olds, grannies? :hmm::D

So it's the general public who decide, not a group of sporty people?

When the cyclists/rowers can throw spears/shot put and jump high and long, then they can be as good as Jess Ennis.

Yes, but then could she do a triathlon or a marathon or cycle or row long distance?

By your reasoning, then a gymnast who does a load of disciplines should be eligible then :D

Heptathlon has loads more different disciplines than gymnastics, throwing a massive weight (shot put) is loads different than the 110 hurdles, 200m or the long jump

The nyum nyum in the track cycling has six disciplines, but they do all seem to involve riding around a pringle as fast as you can.

What about the decathlon? Thats 10 disciplines. Havent seen much of this in these Olympics, but remember Daley Thompson used to win that
eta : Its not an Olympic sport anymore, so Jessica Ennis is our most complete athlete

Two lined up in boxing tomorrow, one today I think. Mens MTB Liam Killeen is a pretty good rider, not really world class though. Daley's in the diving, but not really up to scratch.
