What if the UK get no medals?

BBC Sports Personality of the Year might be a hard decision this year! When I was a kid if you won gold at the Olympics you were pretty certain of getting the BBC SPOTY.

I'm sure Wiggins is a shoe-in for SPOTY. Olympic gold AND the Tour de France.

I'd give it to Mo though. Or John Terry.

SPOTY has to be Wiggins - as great as the achievements of Ennis and Farah were, what Wiggins has done is unprecedented and it encompassed the greatest bike race in the world, several of the almost as important bike races in the world and the Olympics.

Also he said "We're just going to draw the raffle numbers now" on the Champs-Élysées.

Well off the top of my head:

Bradley Wiggins
Chris Hoy
Mo Farah
Jessica Ennis
Victoria Pembleton (only if she doesn't cry, and just to please TwistedAM)
Miserable Murray ('cos it might make him smile)
Some boatie people
Beth Tweddle (just to cheer her up a bit)
Boris Johnson for his zip-wire event
David Beckham for looking good in a boat
Team GB Male Gymnasts for being first to get a medal in over 100 years

I dunno, what's the criteria? :D

The name sort of implies personality, but Nigel Mansell won it one year which makes it all a bit confusing.

Still think Jessica Ennis should win! All the rest (apart from the silly ones who dont count) are only good at one thing, while Jess is brill at 7 things.
