What if the UK get no medals?

Now tenth in the medal table and ninth most medals won.

I don't like the way the medal table is so focused on golds. Japan have won the 3rd highest number of medals so far, 13 but sit 13th in the table as they have only got one gold. Think they should use points per medal, say gold 5, silver 3 and bronze 1.

Well who's going to keep score then?

Just been reading lots of tweets about announcements by tube drivers/station staff about Wiggins winning gold. Must be great :D

It is about the hypothetical premise of Team GB getting only eight* Olympic medals and an invitation to speculate on the effect this might have on the national mood.

*subject to revision

I'm perfectly happy with 8. Will be happier with even more.

Silver in men's breast stroke. Jamieson is the chap's name. The lad who won by about that <---------------------> much did it in a new record .
Cool stuff

Oh, missed that, unless it's on one of the programmes I recorded. I'm fast forwarding rowing at the moment

This gold medal rowing woman's just said she hadn't sat in a boat until she watched the Beijing Olympics, that's what inspired her to take up rowing.
Holyfucketyfuck.

Yeah, saw that earlier

Currently watching a men's race (1500m). I don't know the result so don't anyone tell me

Oh, it's a semi-final

It is, it's just the Scots and Welsh don't get it. :p

Oh I think you'll find they do :D Britain (and indeed the UK) is England (and the proddy bit of NI) ;)

There may also be small weird enclaves that wish to be part of the UK. I have nothing to do with any of them!!
