What are you having for breakfast?

I’m at a Premier Inn but I won’t be having breakfast here. I only needed to make that mistake once!

I’ll go into town and see if there’s any cafes. We’re at Banbury so I suppose we’d better see the Cross, and maybe ask a fine lady on a fine horse where’s good.

2 slices of tiger toast with lemon & lime marmalade.
Grapefruit juice which gave me instant goosebumps and weird squinty eyes and screwed up face.....I though it was orange juice

Nasty shock to the system first thing in the morning :D

So, I don’t usually eat eggs these days but sometimes I make an exception. They were the least good thing about the breakfast. Allegedly fried but looking more poached. I want fried eggs to be crispy around the edge. But everything was cooked fresh and was generally very good. Coffee was excellent. Very pleasant cafe. Nice surroundings. Would return.

Right next to Banbury Cross.

Todays offering was 2 rashers of smoked bacon 1 sausage 1 mushroom on a breadbun. Or as the odd woman who sold me them a barm bun. This is Teesside not coronation street and i will never ask for a barm anything. Very annoying this exotic description.

If they were full of fake sugar  The answer is 'not very nice', farmerbarleymow , but I bought two bags so have to drink it. It's pretty good for you I think, lots of vitamins and not many calories. But nasty.
I remember buying one of those huge tubs of whey protein powder when I was young and thinking I could get more muscly with no effort - it was grim stuff.

:D Yeah I don't think any of them do that. I went for Huel because I'm new to the world of exercise and it's the one my husband uses and he thinks it's fine, so if you can tolerate a daily dose of sweetener it's probably ok - though I doubt that does anyone much good. I reckon an unflavoured one or pure peanut or something would be better.
