What are you having for breakfast?

Porridge with dates, sesame seeds, walnuts and butterscotch syrup. Verrrry sweet, forgot how sweet dates can be so totally overdid the syrup!

Walnut & dark chocolate chip banana bread and squeaky cheese (not together although I think that's worth a try). Slightly odd cup of tea because I didn't realise there was a chamomile teabag left in the mug until after I'd poured it. Better cup of tea still in the pot.
 
A huge recumbent bike ride with a large cup of cold brewed coffee (fixed bike) now only use phone in the morning if on it. Got difficulty up to 17 of 25. Ex gym bike same model I used there, most used it on about 6. Not broken the 50 miles I did on it there yet but you get interrupted more at home lol and it's oddly powered by cycling so lots of jotting down 5,2,11, etc lol. 150 miles last week tho!
 
I can't pretend my WM spelt flatbread doesn't get a bit unappetizing after up to 3 days in the fridge so today I experimented with wrapping in foil sprinkled with a bit of water and put it on the hotplate..
I do still have my toaster downstairs so I suppose I might try using that for speed ...

I'm weighing the improvement in taste vs the added complications ... I time my coffee brewing by how long it takes me to spread the "bread" ...
 
Toad in the hole, but not the traditional sausage and batter one. Just a thick slice of bread buttered both sides, hole cut in the middle, fried both sides and an egg cracked into the hole.

Homemade muesli. Much less faff than making granola, and will probably take over the overnight oats I was obsessed with last year. Mayyybe.
