I can only give this one a half-like I'm afraid. Cockles ! I admit to total prejudice as they look like bleached innards, apart from 'cockles' what do they taste like, do they have an equivalent ?A jar of pickled cockles, and half a jar of pickled onions.
Erm, they taste like cockles.apart from 'cockles' what do they taste like, do they have an equivalent ?
not had the vinegared from a jar version, just the steamed open ones, they are more texture than taste (a bit chewy), they taste of how the sea smells if that makes sense.I can only give this one a half-like I'm afraid. Pickled snot. We used to get them all the time from the chippy when I was young, my dad loved them.I can only give this one a half-like I'm afraid. Cockles ! I admit to total prejudice as they look like bleached innards, apart from 'cockles' what do they taste like, do they have an equivalent ?
Never say never, say not just yetThese are the ones I get izz - you should get some as they make a good snack for breakfast, and indeed at any time of day. Just drain the vinegar and either fish them out with your fingers or tip the whole jar into your gob in one go. I don't do that of course - I'm not an animal.
