What are you having for breakfast?

Yesterday I had

Rye sourdough toast layered with:
Dijon mustard
Comte cheese melted under the grill
Parma ham laid on top and briefly blasted under the grill
Fried egg (seasoned in the pan) laid on top
Cherry tomatoes sliced and salted on the side
Nicaraguan coffee, strong and black
 
Nothing like porridge to warm the cockles on a freezing cold morni🥰

I wish I liked porridge, for this reason. I’ve tried and tried over the years, in any number of combinations. Just can’t eat more than a couple of spoonfuls.



I do like alternative porridges made with beans, lentils, amaranth, etc. but find it hard to eat a full serving. I think my mouth gets sad and disappointed with the sameness of the texture. Even adding lumpy crunchy things like fruit, nuts and seeds doesn’t help.
