It must be something to do with the angle I took the picture and the piss poor plating but that plate contains:-
2 x sausages (from local suppliers so didn't shrink AT ALL)
3 x rashers of smoked streaky bacon (as per sausages, no added water so pretty much remained the size they went into the frying pan at)
half a small tin of Branston baked beans
2 large fried eggs
1 x slice of fried bread
1 x slice of sourdough bread toast
half a punnet of mushrooms butter fried
most, if not all of a sachet of Quaker quick grits and a generous splash of maple syrup
I think that, in future, I'll drop the fried slice and toast - I just can't get the fried slice right and a bad fried slice is worse than no fried slice. I've still got 9 sachets of grits to go so they're going to be featuring heavily in the up and coming days and weeks
They last for . . . EVAH! - I'm barely halfway through the contents and, I'm pretty sure, it's already out of BBE date - not that that matters of course, but how much pepper would you have to use to get through it in the allotted time
I could have pain au chocolat, or I could have wholemeal toast, or porridge, or Weetabix but somehow I think I'm going to dither until nearly lunchtime and eat two pain au chocolat.
Bread roll with brie and cranberry sauce squashed and toasted in the George Foreman grill.
Prawn vol au vonts while I'm waiting.
Diet starts on 1st Jan!
I had salbutes (two soft corn tacos sandwiching refritos and cheese, then fried. Pink pickled onions on top). So fucking fat I had to change out of my jeans and back into my pyjamas.
Eta apparently they're panuchos. Salbutes are not stuffed
