The headline seems to be quite a bad misrepresentation of the article. In one place he talks about people being put off opera (reason: it is seen as elitist), then later he says the phrase "misguided wokeism". But he doesn't make a causal link between the two afaict.

Article in the Torygraph saying 'when churches go woke, they die'. I'm guessing 'woke' means 'not ranting at the congregation about how they're all going to hell'.
