War on Woke: Conservative Cultural Campaigning

Do you open all your drinks like you've just won formula one?
It's simple, take a wee drink then remove the lid.
I recommend everyone read the last page to the sound of the haribo voices :D
It doesn't affect me, as I haven't bought a drink in a plastic bottle for years. But I've seen others trying to navigate the attached lid, and it wasn't pretty.

People used to chuck the old style ring pulls on the floor for sure. You'd see loads of them around Croydon shopping streets, which is where I last recall seeing them, back in the 80's. Not so much the cans though.
Unlike screw caps, ring pulls weren't designed to be replaced on the can, so I can see why people might throw them on the floor.
This must be where the Brussels idiots got the idea. They looked at ring pulls attached to the cans and thought it'd be a good idea to do the same with bottles, because they're not very bright.

I don’t like the lid thing on pop bottles either. It’s like having a hangnail, or an open drawer, or a red notification, or an empty plug socket with the switch on. They must be immediately corrected.
I wouldn’t call them woke though, unless they are caffeinated

Oh please, like that lot aren't all jerking off over Serb mercenaries and hot female IDF soldiers. Julie Burchill is very open about her fetish for both those types. Anyway, wasn't Mangione right-wing?
He was interested in Musk and falling populations in Japan, apparently

And this sort of thing is why I was in the camp of 'Not gonna fangirl for this one until we actually know what he's like'

Oh, and now the younger generation are vicariously including vegans and people with gluten issues rather than leaving them to eat the side veg and nothing else like the kind and sensible and more tolerant people of yore:

I think the only reason for these stories is so that millennials share the links over Facebook.
