I have that, and to put you off wanting it, it doesn't have a back to the battery slot, so every time you scrabble around in the dark and knock it to try and turn the alarm off, the battery falls out. Mega design fail. (Pretty though)
A proper tailored trilby, I think they look the dog's bollocks. But alas not me, not on me.

Ach, it's not all bad. I still intend to spend the best part of a few hundred notes on one blade, albeit I can't bring myself to splurge all that and much,much more on the knife pictured above.

That's unbelievably stupid. It looks so well designed too, but must be just aesthetically then. Wouldn't matter so much to me because that's the wall clock I posted (love the alarm clock too but dont need one). I was half thinking about it but your post hasn't encouraged me.

Lots of places with sales on now selling £200 North Face coats for £120ish (still a fecking fortune, but not bad discounts).
But: best value I have ever got out of a coat was a boy's down jacket from Uniqlo - cost £60ish FULL PRICE and is just as warm as any North Face or camping-shop special I've ever seen. That was a few years ago,I don't know if they're still making them (it is a proper thick-fabric'ed coat with thick layer of down, not one of those shiny quilted squash-in-a-bag jobs) but it was The Right Decision then and I'm still wearing the coat 6 years later*. maybe something similar could help you out - depending on yr height and build? this is no season to be involuntarily ventilated by holes in yer jacket!
*obviously I have not been wearing just this garment and nothing but continuously for 6 years.

I tuck thin knitted tops into high waisted skirts but I wouldn't do it for a chunky jumper like that.
