Maybe some of the questions were more in line with themes from other interviews and general stuff on the scene now, perhaps less relevant to Jerome. But fair enough. I’ve listened to most of them so maybe more used to it.

Off later to catch radioactive man playing at a wine bar down the road for free!

I'm a hermit these days tbf, dogsitting tonight and can't get out of it, even if i was that way inclined...

Marcellus Pittman at Phonox for me this Saturday. Big dance up for my birthday.
Playing 3-5, why😂. I'm sure it's usually closed by 4.

Who is Shy One?

Also I'm so old that the bouncer let me in even though I forgot to bring ID.

And rutabowa has left the floor very sticky.

Btw (too late now) I like Shy One. Enjoy her show on NTS. Hopefully she brings it for you. I feel like she would know what a Pittman crowd would want!

I think I've actually seen her once before but I feel like she's got the main slot and I came to see him. Oh well, here now, will get a good dance in no matter what as all the music will be of a good standard.

On the plus side, by 3am most of the chattering Clapham types will have cleared out and only the true (and the pilled) will remain.

sorry about that. I absolutely LOVED the place tbh, only complaint is it was very full... but I found a corner by a speaker and then the whole evening whizzed by, it was decent house, reminded me if Smokescreen parties... nice old crowd too. will def go again in december. ending at 10pm is awesome too.

That sounds great, a day party really would suit me better. And my crowd were the youngest I've ever seen there, no oldies in sight.

Liked the start of Shy One's set but then she banged it out for an hour so I sat outside watching FB reels till Marcellus came on.
Worth the wait, he was excellent.

I am looking for something that night as kids away and Phonox ideal because it's local. But I don't know anything about Raresh.
I’ve not seen him but been aware of the name for a while. Plays house and techno, meant to be v decent. Sometimes plays as part of RPR threesome. Some good sets of his about on line, hangs about with Ricardo Villalobos a bit I think..

That doesn't really light a fire in me and the last DJ I saw at Phonox was so excellent because Marcellus Pittman. But I'm on holiday so think I will pop in for a few hours and give it a whirl if nothing else comes up.

went to this last night.

Was good but not amazing as I thought it'd be.
I had a nice time though. Enjoyed the music and checked out a venue that i've not been too previously.

Strangley, I don't have any kind of hangover

My out out yesterday didn't go very well. It was an 11-10pm event. Arrived at just after 5 to a venue with 5 ambulances outside. We got in, used the cloakroom, got to the bar which promptly shut, moved to the dancefloor. Lights came on and it shut early. :/ I hope it wasn't a death.

ETA: Someone did die. :(

Keeping myself busy this week with a midweek night of heavy wubs (dubstep) on Wednesday at Pirate Copy with N type and slimzee.

Some jazz last night...home by 10pm!

Tonight I've decided I WILL go to Carpet Shop in Peckham for Equiss and Finn. I'm hoping for house and garage bangers all night long.

Going to Outernet under Denmark Street this weekend for first time. Newness and size puts me off 🧐 but heard some ok reports. Charlie Dark & Paul Woolford 👍

Also bought some tix for Ian Pooley at the Jazz Cafe next May as £5. He made some good tunes back in the day.

How do most people keep up to date with what's on? Back in the day I was always out and always with music lovers and producers so knew by word of mouth.
Recently I missed tickets for something I'd like to have gone to but also have some free time in December and can't find a thing to go to (my criteria are pretty slim).

RA and mailing lists for me. Sometimes Facebook.

I follow venues and artists I like on social media. Sometimes just scroll through venue listings. Try to add anything I hear about and might like to my calendar as and when I hear about it for future reference.

I listen to a lot of radio where djs plug stuff where they are playing.

I miss a lot of stuff too!

I do check RA but I can't bear being on lots of mailing lists. I do check a couple of venues websites regularly but have still managed to miss things this way.

RA is not showing me anything on the dates I have.
I just have a separate Gmail account for mailing lists as otherwise I’d hate it too
