Urban Clubbing Club

Thinking of going to a tech trance day into night thing at E1 on Saturday. Not been to that club in ages and haven't been overly impressed in the past. Any recent experiences? Just remember a small, claustrophobic corridor, a fenced off smoking alleyway, but fairly decent dancefloor.

Was supposed to be doing the after party for DiY's 35th Bday (Christ I feel old) on Saturday (DiY Jack and Frandanski from Smokescreen), but can't make it now.

2 free tickets to anyone who wants them

9:00 PM - 4:00 AM
Venue: The Loft at Low Profile Studios, N4 1PT
Ohhh i would live actually! If noone else has claimed!

I am so at this...

Cheers. Was also trying to work out whether Krust "headlining" means that they'll give him a slot like 1-2 or whether I'll actually have to stay up to 4 if I want to hear it.
re set times idve thought so
Decoder was the top tech step producer late 90s...also produced Kosheen's I'll Hide U , bit of a legend
personal favourite

There was an Orca who made deep DnB tunes in the 90s too, might be them?

looks like a good night to me! 90s leaning?

Yeah, as I understand it, Orca is one of Decoder so it's the same bloke doing two sets in a night. Presumably quite 90s leaning but I'm not much of an expert on this stuff. Think Nectax and Pod Imiya may be young people though.

Frantic at KOKO this Saturday afternoon. Work Xmas party on Friday night (with free bar) so its going to take a fair bit of effort to be up, showered, fed with a big breakfast and up to North London for a an event that begins at midday and ends at 8. Ah well, tis the season and all that :D
I'm at the orange reunion the week after, finishes at 9pm :D will be there with much of my raving gang from 92... Going in:D (early)

Yeah. Pod Imiya's a youngster, but she ploughs a good line in jungle

Having slagged off Fabric and saying I'd never set foot in there previously, I have now bought a ticket for Theo Parrish 8hr set because I can't find anything else to go to in December and how bad can Fabric be on a Sunday.
Hoping I actually make it as I'll need a babysitter.
This is tomorrow. What happens at Fabric on a Sunday, do they just open Room1?

Says she who has not been to Fabric since before her first child was born, he's 15 now, so there may not even be a Room 1 any more.

Dunno.
Gutted I won’t make this. Just not great timing
Moodyman did 8 hrs at the Jazz Cafe last Friday. I couldn't even get a ticket, which was just as well as I had a teenagers birthday outing and sleepover to manage the next day.

That was excellent. Danced for 5 hours, I hurt. All the good stuffs that he always plays from here to there and everywhere - house, disco, funk, techno, Fela Kuti mixed into an acid track, Bob Marley, Loose Joints, Moscow Disco and tons of ace tracks I wouldn't know the names of. Deep.

Was in in Room 1 or 3?

Tonight I went to Critical Music at Lakota. Critical and a few other labels are really important labels for me as years ago they introduced me to a style of DnB I'd not heard before.

I really don't enjoy the events they put on at Motion that are in the day, and at other big venues. But tonight at Lakota on the Sini Soundsystem it was proper stripped back minimal gnarly music and even though I was on my own it's probably been my favourite this year. Was worried about it being at Lakota too, but it wasn't oversold and all located on the bottom floor so it worked well. £6 a can of beer now mind.

Going to this today
Unlikely to tick my musical boxes like 8 hrs of Theo Parrish did, not much could, but hopefully will get some good tunes and dancing in.
Also can't really argue with 4-10pm and a short walk home.

It doesn't sound a million miles from what you describe that theo parrish set, but yeh i doubt it will quite beat it.... sure you will have fun tho!
