Aldi has vegan-friendly chocolate-covered physalis berries.
Not quite as moreish as chocolate covered nuts and raisins, but quickly demolished ...
And I could actually do with a new coir doormat, but the ones in Aldi have all sorts of twee crap printed on them
Presumably just for the weekend they had 37 piece screwdriver bit sets and various kinds of drill bits for 99p a pack - there's a reason I usually pay at least £1 for a screwdriver bit - but they probably aren't impossibly awful for light work..
I hope Aldi's French wine selection improves soon - I will probably have to dip into my cellar again before long...

Sainsbury's are doing people's favourite on here if lidl is still out of stock on the bitterol. Their offers are normally nationwide.

Not Aldi or Lidl but Tesco are doing Haig Club clubman at 31% discount. £15 for 70cl bottle. In a nice blue bottle so worth a buy if you have someone who likes whisky but is a difficult christmas present or you like a drop yourself. Sorry to derail thread but could not be bothered to start a Tesco one.

It's the light up wellies and really good waterproof fleece lined kids' coats and trousers in LIDL this week. I went yesterday to get in early but discovered that the coats only go up to age 8 annoyingly (and we already have one of those). The trousers go up to age 10 though. I managed to get one pair of light up, sheepskin lined wellies for my littlest "BEST MUM EVER!!!!" was her response.
There were two women fighting in Todmorden Lidl last week. I didn't see it but wolfie did. A couple of years ago I saw two women fighting outside that same Lidl.
Anyway there's stollen and Panettone on the shelves now
