The stupidity of the anti-vaxx nutcases

Unlike CoVID you can't infect other people with being fat. The thing with antivaxxers is no matter what their reasons, they have made a conscious decision to increase the risk to the rest of the community out of what is basically selfishness.
Plenty will have been led down that road by nonsense on Facebook or even fairly mainstream sources in some cases, being a bit gullible shouldn’t exclude you from care. It should be the lead dickheads and grifters being targeted, not the pitiable pbi of the culture war.

having said that I’d strongly endorse them putting a little bit of foetal cells in every modern medicine just to piss off the right people.

Those taken in by the actual malicious actors, grotesque as the results may be to witness.

I don’t think they’re being entirely serious you know.

Yes, I understand they are not literally calling for foetal cells to be put in vaccines. Thank you so much for enlightening me on this point.

It's the very thought process of imaging ways to torment your political opponents that is the problem. It's a weird thing to do, and a little bit sick. It exists on the right as well as the left of course. It's unhealthy in either case.

A lot of general/OTC medicine have been tested on those cell lines.

Chapman ice cream is made in Ontario, and most people are proud to buy their product.

In 2009, their plant caught fire and burned to the ground.
But they were able to rebuild, and are still a Canadian success story.

It's been 10 years since Ontario's largest ice cream producer, Chapman's, suffered a major setback that would have closed most businesses for good. But instead the Chapman's Ice Cream story is taught in business schools as a case study — not how to survive a disaster, but thrive in the aftermath.

Now, the anti-vaxx twits are asking us, my fellow Canadians, to boycott them.

Their sin? Offering a $1 pay increase to those employees that are vaccinated, and rapid testing those who choose not to be vaccinated.

That came less than a week after, Chapman’s started twice-a-week rapid testing for about 100 of their 850 employees, who had decided against getting vaccinated. Five employees refused, and are currently on unpaid leave.

“The far-right anti-vaxxers have taken it up, as in, we’re horrible people, and we need to be taught a lesson,” says Chapman.

So far, Chapman says the boycott has not impacted sales of their ice cream treats at all. He calls the boycott “frustrating” since the company was trying to find a middle ground, by deciding against a vaccine mandate, as many other organizations and businesses have.

“We’re really trying hard to work with these people, but it can be tough at times, especially when you’re being boycotted for this. It seems a bit ridiculous,” he says.

Shame on those boycotting this wonderful company.

Protecting Canada’s Wilderness

In April 2019, Chapman’s pledged to donate 25 cents from the sale of every box of Yukon Caribou Bars to the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS) in support of ongoing Caribou protection efforts.

Saving Local School

When a rural school in the Municipality of Grey Highlands was threatened with closure, Chapman’s joined the fight to keep the doors open. We joined negotiations with the school board and local government and committed to donate $2M to save the Markdale school.

Markdale Hospital

Chapman’s is committed to supporting our local community by contributing to local infrastructure projects. That is why we completed a $1M pledge to the new Markdale Hospital.

Local Hospice

Chapman’s donated $1M towards the construction of a new palliative care facility in Owen Sound, now called Chapman House. In addition, a number of our employees voluntarily deducted from their pay cheques to donate towards the ongoing operational costs of Chapman House.

Two loons in court here.

Judge Finnegan again told the accused that he strongly recommend that he get legal representation. Mureddu replied: "Absolutely not. I don't give any consent. I am the king and you are the public servant."

The accused man hit the headlines earlier this year when he appeared in a video assisting a man who was suffering from Covid to leave Letterkenny University Hospital. The man, Joe McCarron, was later readmitted to hospital but died a short time later.

"You're up there representing Lucifer. The black dress [robe] is a reference to the planet Saturn," he said before talking about stone masons.

"I see this as a fight between Jesus Christ and Lucifer."

He went on to shout about masonic conspiracies and falsified paperwork in his case before adding: "Excuse me, Sandra, do you deal in Maritime Law?" to the bafflement of the judge.

The 2nd one is a serial nuisance who amongst other activities spent two years harassing a woman who just wanted to walk her dog in peace.

Wankers.

Yeah, that’s kind of the point.

There is some kind of boiler plate text being circulated amongst anti-vaxxers to be used to claim religious exemption from workplace vaccine mandates. Employers are wise to this and question what other medications the person is boycotting - the list is quite extensive.

Have we had this on here yet? Seen it going round a bit:

If it fucks up protein transcription you'll be meeting your maker a lot sooner than you think as you won't be able to build the proteins you need to replace all your worn out cells. Life expectancy a few months ? :(

So presumably all of us here who've had the vaccine are actually already dead and banned from heaven... we just haven't realised it. And we're sharing purgatory with the dead anti-vaccine nutcases who died of the virus after being infected with broken protein-transcriptor'o'matics shed from the likes of me :'(

It all makes sense now!

It's like people who think they can outsmart God. Like a billionaire giving money to some worthy project at an opportune time that just happens to benefit themselves and perpetuate an evil system where multitudes are starving. Thanks to them.

I seem to remember reading something about royalty and the general public in France. Happened a few years ago now. Don't think it worked out so well for royalty but might be wrong. Happy to be corrected

I feel a rehash of Lost coming up soon.

Discovered that our curry house of choice probably has an anti-vaxxer in charge [as owner].

If that's confirmed by further investigation, then that's our business away from there, possibly permanently & I'll be telling a few friends & colleagues. Some of whom will take the same action ...

They lost out on 4 take-out meals tonight ...
