Update on the Texas lawsuit:
Who's "Kyle Becker", then? Or is this just more unattributed bullshit from some idiot headbanger?
ETA: He calls himself an "independent journalist" and "Head of viral media", and clearly isn't impartial or credible - he has a nice little echo chamber on Twitter of dumb little trumpettes, amongst whom I'm sure you will feel very at home, Marty1.
So we can discount it as typical of the baseless horseshit you exclusively post on here.
In their ruling, six state supreme court justices unanimously agreed lawyers for the Trump campaign failed to show the district court judge had committed any legal error when hearing their arguments.
“We also are not convinced that the district court erred in applying a burden of proof by clear and convincing evidence, as supported by the cases cited in the district court’s order,” the justices wrote in their opinion. “And, in any event, the district court further determined that appellants had not met their burden even if it applied a lesser standard. Finally, the district court’s order thoroughly addressed the grounds asserted in the statement of contest filed by appellants and considered the
evidence offered by appellants even when that evidence did not meet the requirements under Nevada law for expert testimony.”
Tather than evidence of massive voter fraud, All the trump lawyers seem to have in terms of what they bring to court are dubious technical ponts about minor alleged procedual violations.
Sven if any of these stood up, and not one has, the idea that it could then be used to annul the votes of hundreds of thousands of people, and potentially overturn the entire election is complete fantasy land stuff.
SURPRISING FACT
While the Trump campaign has frequently alleged voter fraud outside of court, with the exception of the Nevada lawsuit, the campaign has largely backed away from arguing voter fraud in court, with attorney Rudy Giuliani even telling a judge in a Pennsylvania hearing, “This is not a fraud case.”
Wouldn't this latest lawsuit basically constitute one state (Texas) trying to overturn the results of four other states? Doesn't the Constitution grant states significant powers in arranging their own electoral affairs? Quite apart from the fact that such a lawsuit is anti-democratic to the max.
I predict it will get utterly nowhere.
Texas is asking the Supreme Court to block the Electoral College votes in the four states - a total of 62 votes - from being counted. Biden has amassed 306 electoral votes - exceeding the necessary 270 - compared to 232 for Trump in the state-by-state Electoral College that determines the election's outcome, while also winning the national popular vote by more than 7 million votes.
Texas also is asking the Supreme Court to delay the Dec. 14 deadline for Electoral College votes to be cast.
Paul Smith, a professor at Georgetown University's law school, said Texas did not have a legitimate basis to bring the suit.
"There is no possible way that the state of Texas has standing to complain about how other states counted the votes and how they are about to cast their electoral votes," Smith said.
Texas law suit was already rejected by supreme court 9-0. I posted a link on the main election thread a few hours ago. (Unless there are 2 texas law suits?)The Texas law suit will be laughed out of court like all the rest.
It’s completely insane.
the man who is filing the case is probably just doing it to please trump, in order to get a pardon for the crimes he's done.
Opinion: The rank hypocrisy of the Texas AG's election case
James Moore writes that it was hypocritical for Texas Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton to file a lawsuit with the US Supreme Court that Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Georgia must be found to have used the Covid-19 pandemic as an excuse to manipulate the outcome of the 2020...edition.cnn.com

That was a different case, only involving the election results in Pennsylvania.

Update on the Texas lawsuit:
How's it going Marty1 do you still feel optimistic about the election being overturned for your man?
I like ithapless dipstick.
Maybe someone with an appalling record of irrelevant, nasty, content-free RW bullshit isn't the best person to be advising a regular and respected Urbanite on how to post.Highly unlikely yet interesting to see played out - he’s not going to concede even when Biden is in the Oval Office - maybe this is the point of all this, to return the favour of how them Dems tried to constantly delegitimise his entire presidency.
Regarding your frequent mentioning of Q on this thread - I get there’s some crossover but - think you’re wasting your time - the Q people will likely change the narrative to however they see fit - Biden now works for Trump who is running things from Mar a Lago etc. Maybe leave the Q stuff for the Q thread.

You're welcome.Thank you for advising me not to advise

“Sadly, this Covid test is the only positive thing to come out of Rudy Giuliani in four years.” — JIMMY KIMMEL
“So, for just a partial list of Rudy’s achievements since the election: He’s lost 48 lawsuits, he melted on camera, he farted in court, he got Covid, and he shut down a state legislature. The only thing more embarrassing would be if he married his own cousin. He what?!” — STEPHEN COLBERT
“It keeps getting worse for Rudy. After his test showed he had Covid, he challenged the results in court and lost.” — JIMMY FALLON
