The Cranberries are a Top50 band in History

Cranberries song just came on. I said "Alexa - next song".
I'll get my coat.

I got my comeuppance - the next song was the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

I'm sure we can all come together as one and agree that the Red Hot Chili Peppers are properly shit. :)
I remember an interview with Nick Cave where he was saying how he'd turn on the radio and some awful shit would be playing and when it got to the end it always turned out to be the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
I don't mind them all that much, but it was commensurate punishment for dissing the Cranberries.

They were a brilliant band to see live. They really put everything into every single song.
Nice post 👍

Yes, one of the greatest live bands, despite having the bad luck that Dolores broke her knee in 1994 and other very serious health problems that this incredible artist went through. unique and unrepeatable.

The 1994 concert in the Astoria Hall was the first live album released on VHS, I would like to know how many in the history of rock released their first video concert with only 22 or 23 years.
Maybe one, two, three, four...? The Cranberries are.

The issue is that The Cranberries have been a great alt-rock band, whose vocalist is among the 10 best frontwomen in the history of rock. I do not intend to impose my tastes, but data are that are.
The Cranberries are the biggest female led band since Fleetwood Mac, they are the second biggest and most influential band in Ireland (surpassing Thin Lizzy) and they also had the British music press against them.
A band of the importance of The Cranberries should not be disrespected, with all due respect they are not like Belle and Sebastian or Jane's Addiction, they are one of the 10 best bands of the 90s.

Admittedly, their first two are distinctly average as are the post Black Rose albums.

Have a soft spot for Vagabonds... which is occasionally proggy but would not agree that The Cranberries ever topped them. Maybe it's a generation thing, though.
I only know The Boys Are Back In Town and it’s been played to death.
