The all boxing thread

i know but if you an Undefeated fighter with the name of Fury ...

why would you take 2 million to lose to a no mark and hurt your career in the long term

Fury’s not really a proper boxer though is he? Not really a record to speak of, in terms of having one to spoil, 6 fights? Not sure this is a serious fight, so can imagine all kinds of scripted nonsense is on the cards.

8 fights 4 by KO

earnt more money in the ring that as an influencer

lost to Jake would harm both reps

does not make business sense

hey might do it for the money but it would be short sighted

he will always been a journey man but he can make more money with the surname rather than 2 mil to dive

Not sure this is real, but really wouldn't surprise me. Jake Paul is a total prick after all.

Wrestling is scripted and that's openly admitted. Pretty sure Jake Paul sees this in the same way. This is entertainment, not a fight.

Well, that was a surprise. :D

That was fun! Good fight. I mean, not in the sense that either of the boxers were great but it was competitive and close and I actually enjoyed it.

Logan Paul calling the entire Fury family "bitches" was quite funny. What a pair of pricks.

My reading of that is usyk has been presented with a ridiculously offensive split on the rematch whether he wins loses or draws on 29th

If he beat fury why would he accept paltry terms for the rematch
Yep, this. I suspect Fury beats anybody on the planet at the moment, but he's not exactly busting a gut to get Usyk in the ring. A fight with Usyk would be unpredictable for Fury and Usyk is probably the better boxer (that's quite a claim, I know), though Fury would have the advantage of size and the dark arts. He just seems more interested is his increasingly tedious mind games and money than securing a 'legacy'. I can's say I followed all the ins and outs of his 2nd attempt to get a Joshua fight, but that seemed to go the same way in terms of Joshua agreeing to the splits but Fury pissing the fight away. Again, I think he'd have beaten Joshua, but somehow preferred to piss about in all of his self importance.

Suppose it's worth remembering that before Fury reinvented himself as a mental health guru that he's always been a cunt and a self important twat. And a drug cheat, let's not forget. I won't say someone who took on an undefeated Wilder is a ducker, but his CV is getting weaker and weaker, culminating in the shameless spectacle of him further endangering Delboy's long term health in the last fight.

I’ve always been a fan of his boxing. Went to see him at the O2, even went to Düsseldorf to see him beat Klitschko

But he’s lost me on this, this is just pricking around, and after the pricking around with Joshua et al

Just pointless. He’s got nowt to fear boxing wise, his biggest issue is his ego and greed now

Sad as fuck

The other thing is, he's 34 now and while he'll be favourite against anybody for the next couple of years, not necessarily after that. Whenever he decides to start cementing his legacy, it might be too late.

He's taken one significant risk in his last 9 fights (Wilder 1). Two perhaps if you include Wilder 2. After that, you had the Whyte fight which he was clearly favourite to win and the rest are Wilder 3, Seferi, Pianetta, Wallin, Schwartz and Chisora.

Surely someone who was 14 stone (he isn't of course) would actually be rather brave fighting someone the size of Fury.
