That wonderfully progressive Greens Party is about to bring in scab labour

:D

There's a council by election in the Elm Grove/Hanover ward and the only window bills I've seen are Green or Labour, with the Greens heavily outnumbering the Labour ones. Interestingly, quite a few of the Green ones are accompanied by posters supporting the City Clean workers. This could be a sign of the confused state of Green supporters and/or evidence that a significant section of their more public support is to the left of the local party leadership.

The Labour candidate is Emma Daniel, who doesn't support trade unions

What happened to the Green Left or Left Green group (i forget the correct name)? I remember hearing of one...

Sorry this took ages to reply to I was on holiday :). Green Left still exists, with some very decent folk as members, and some most politely described as really not :). You have to be a member of the Greens to be a member of it, and as you'd imagine a fair few of the most active people have left the party and therefore GL in the last few years. They tend to be (although tbf not always, there's some other decent people not in GL left in the party) the Green Party members you'll see getting involved in local campaigns and being active in trade unions.
