That's as much a techbro thing as an American one, and as I typed on the Meta fact checker thread, these lot genuinely believe that the Internet should be considered above of, and seperate from, nation states. Parliaments frustrate them, courts stifle them. Of course they're scaremongering, we can see that. It's working though.
