Suella Braverman's time is up.

Yes they are just as capable, but with minorities who are tories, I think "people" like Braverman feel they have to be "even more extreme" than the white tory extremists in order to "fit in" and prove themselves.

(my daughter is mixed race. She expressed exactly this view about Braverman)
I reckon that she was/is trying to prove how strong she is, that she will take no shit from anyone and is therefore leadership material.

No doubt about that, but my view is that because she's not white, she feels she has to be more extreme.

I said somewhere else, I don't think Sunak will continue after the next election. Being PM is an ego trip for him and will look good on his CV should he want some other "job".

She's about as strong as a wet paper bag farting in a hurricane.

What people actually admire her for is her overt hatefulness and her refusal to let woke bullshit like information or logic have any effect on her at all.

I may regret this but she will never be p.m. too many Tory voters don’t even like her.
Yeah, but.....

Tories get wiped at GE 2024.

Lab doesn't get a majoritry and need Lib votes to rule.

Libs insist on a PR vote

PR for next election.

Starmer panics and aligns with centre tories

Labour left allies with far left and greens etc

Right wing tories split and align with Reform UK.

No. not even that would work.

Forget it. Pissed again

Even in these crazy times I’d only put that as a very remote possibility. Another leadership challenge before the next GE, would be darkly hilarious of course.
Not arguing, but I can see a mad panic from the tories before the next election calling for the return of Johnson.

would be entertaining

especially if he loses the by-election they would have to set up for him (i think party rules are that any leadership candidate has to be a sitting MP, and don't think they would get away with having a PM in the lords, even if the current leader was to give him a peerage which seems unlikely)

At one time I thought there was an outside chance of this, in the vein of the Australian Labor Party bringing back Rudd 'to save the furniture'.
Now I think it is very very remote, Johnson shot his chance after Truss, has pissed off too many inside the party, and with the stuff from the COVID inquiry and other reports keep hurting him.

Hopefully. Despite the far right love for him in some Tory circles, the cult of personality doesn't seem to be a thing like in some other countries.

i'm not a psychologist, but think there's something in that - have noticed similar with gay tories (yes there are some)
Gay Tories are a very funny bunch. Though I've known many a snippy, snobby gay man who might as well have been a Tory, the lines get get blurry.
