SNP & Greens not quite coalition

Coz Westminster does it so much better. :) Thankfully, most Scots see through the embarrassing twat that is Douglas Ross and yer Labour man, whose family business wouldn't pay its workers the living wage.
Well, yes it does. The warships built ion Scotland under Westminster supervision come in on both time and budget.

The SNP ferries are millions over budget, and are rotting hulks.

Surely that is down to the shipyards (in both cases) rather than who placed the order?

Not entirely, CMAL, the ship-owning/operating arm of CalMac did sign the contract for these boats despite an incomplete design for the "green" propulsion system but without tying down the potential for extra R&D/rebuilding costs when the original system design turned out to need major revision/scrapping.

There is fairly significant historical precedent that says this is not a fiscally advantageous way of going about things:

With the ferries it is a complete lack of competence to supervise the contracts.

A complete lack of competence in the letting of the contract, no builder's guarantee.

This was to enable the contracts to be announced with great fanfare at that year's Nuremburg Rally.

The Starfighter flying coffins.

I think Robert Calvert of Hawkwind did a song about them.
