S&B meets country walk mark II

I still need to get a lift with someone if that is ok... I can travel to whereever people want to leave from. Or else gg I could do with your reference number and I could try to get a train ticket.

You can come with us, but we'll be leaving around lunchtime on Friday, I reckon, to avoid the weekend rush. What time do you finish work?

Hello... yes I think we are 9 (Acechick has now dropped out).

Ms T
Innit
PieEye
Me
Eme
Dimples
Kublai
Hendo
Choc

I am getting linen for 4 I believe... PieEye, Ms T, Hendo and Eme?

And most importantly....I love marmite but don't eat bacon... :D

Just called the bunkhouse.. OMG.. they are so lovely!

They are going to sort out our dinner reservations for us on the Sat night. He recommended somewhere called the Cock Hotel.. no idea what kind of pub it is,but when I mentioned the Raven Tavern he didn't sound impressed. I said it would need to be walking distance and he said that although the Cock Hotel isn't walking distance he would drive us up there/back. He also said he will pick any of us up from the station if needs be and if necessary he'll bring his trailer for our bikes!! How lovely!!

I've sorted out linen for 4!

YAY!!

BTW.. I'm frantically printing out as much as I can here at home in between tearing my hair out over this PGCE (first school visit tomorrow... ), but if anyone has any maps/tour guides/road atlases etc that they can bring that would be really helpful.

I didn't expect to be so busy this week so I can't devote as much time to this as I want to.. :(

thanks - you have sorted sooo much out! :)
will do a bit of investigation / printing and bring it along...

GG, please can you give me the number for the bunkhouse when you have a minute,as I need linen too.

Ms T, I can't leave at lunch time as I have been informed I have to spend the whole afternoon in meetings :(

at this rate I will end up getting the train on my own.

Might be worth giving Dimples a ring -- I think she'll be leaving from Hounslow though. You can definitely have a lift back though. :)

http://www.severnbunkhouse.co.uk/bunkhouse.htm

All the details, tel no etc of the bunkhouse are there! (SO sorry Innit about not including you in the linen thing!)

Dimples will probably be going from West Drayton which is basically out by Heathrow somewhere... a short train ride from Paddington though. I will pm you her no and you can work something out with her.

First school visit today was... hmmm.. interesting!! :D I think I may need to start investing in very heavy anti-wrinkle cream....

when and where should we meet at the trainstation. and when the heck is the train leaving again?

we should be arriving quite late ms t, i think around 11 pm.

ps i just learned the downgrading news that i will miss a promising party...damn..why do those always happen when one is not about..?

For those taking the train let's meet at 18:45 outside Boots at Euston. (I would suggest the pub but it's upstairs and we'll have our bikes!).

Train leaves at 19:10

Heard that Dimples may no longer be coming.. but don't know for sure...

Unless I can get a train ticket I won't be able to come...

will see if there are any tickets left on your train, is it a Virgin one?

*heads off to look at train websites*

Ok, the saver tickets are long since sold out so cheapest train ticket is now £43.40 for a saver return (The single costs the same amount so it doesn't help to get a lift home with Ms T)

Also the fucking TrainLine says that this saver return ticket is only valid for routes via birmingham  are you going via Birmingham??

So I can't afford to come :(

hope you all have a great time.

But I thought you were going with Ms T... what happened there?

She has to leave at lunchtime (I assume from Brixton) and I am at work in Poplar all day....

We don't *have* to leave at lunchtime but as neither of us are working it seems bonkers to wait until the evening when everyone and his wife will be leaving London. Tbh I don't think hendo would agree to drive if we were leaving in the evening, because it would be a nightmare.

Arse.

Is Dimples definitely not going?

Any chance of taking a sickie?

Just spoke to Dimples and she will let me know in a couple of hours either way. She's had a very bad time of it lately - some bloke who lives in her block with mental health probs broke into her apartment last week, went through her underwear drawer, taken her perfume and some personal lady-joy items.... iykwim - and I think she's kind of caught up in trying to sort all that out.. at the same time I think she doesn't want to let anyone down. :(

I'll post back again when I know.

She doesn't have to come just to be my chauffeur! I'll be fine!

It sounds like she's having a horrible time, poor her :(

That sounds awful! Maybe a weekend away will be just what she needs?

((((dimples))))

She is having a terrible time... first redundancy and now this. :( The guy hasn't been charged - he's been up in court for other stuff this week - so he's still living upstairs from her...

Anyway, I'll let you know what happens.

How  is that! I want one.

Well girls I am not going to make it to Wales as I'm leaving work now and I don't want to pack my bags in the morning if I might not have any transport.

I really do hope you all have a fantastic time - hmmm I wonder if there is any way I could get that jam to you in time - maybe we'll just have to eat it all at our next SnB meeting.

GG I hope you have an especially great time as you have put in so much work and as you are having so much stress at school :D I hope you really relax and enjoy yourself.

See you all soon

N x

oh and Ms T we'll have to arrange an SnB soon and I can show you anything you need to know about that shrug... although tbh I'm sure you'll work it all out as that pink one you made looked like a much harder pattern to me (did you finish it? I'm dying to see it)

I'm gutted you're not coming as I can't really work out how to cast on. :( Might have to do something else this weekend, and start the shrug another time.

My other cardigan is finished and is awaiting the arrival of my mother (next week), who is going to sew it up because I'm so useless and hate sewing with a passion!! :D
