Facebook saying this was a QRA intercept on TU 160 Blackjacks this week. Are the markings right for today?

There was an intercept on Thursday. I watched the tanker support head north to the Orkneys then track down the west coast to orbit off Cornwall before returning to Brize.

This was the Voyager tanker flight to support a couple of Typhoons that were scrambled from Lossiemouth and then Coningsby to intercept in each direction.

Yes. All the Voyager tankers (modified A330s) are based at Brize.

This photograph reminds me of the Angel Interceptors as in Captain Scarlet! Must be the white finish.

The first modernised Tu-160M2 went for its maiden flight the other day (first of ten the Russian Air Force initially plans to buy - perhaps up to fifty will eventually be purchased).
