Some TV show i saw suggested that men are attracted to younger women because youth shows off more indicators of health (clear skin etc.) and that health is desirable for breeding.

It's not a matter of "blame." But I do think that female hypergamy is the reason why a significant percentage of today's men are "incels" (I can't get over this terminology, it's a whole new language). That's true by definition innit. It's a tautology.

What percentage of men are "incels"? What is an "incel" anyway (googling says it is either an adult who is a virgin who really doesn't want to be or someone who hasn't had sex for 6 months)? How do we know there are more incels now than in the past? Are there no female "incels"?

Look at this for example, these very sad graphs are from Dataclysm, the book by the mathematician who made the OkCupid dating website.

This shows basically that All Men, given the choice, want a 21 year old woman. That's just not going to work out very well for 80% of women, is it.

I read Elliot Rodger's "statement" - the diatribe he wrote before his killing spree. He saw himself as an incel, but also, he was only interested in a narrow range of what he considered "high quality" women. Blonde, slim, model-beautiful. He gave short shrift in his account to other women, even those who were young and healthy.

Men who are incel, are often claiming that identity rather than compromise on what kind of partner they feel they deserve, whether that's her looks, or her traditional feminine behaviour.

Actually I think his problem was race, not gender. He blamed his lack of success with women on the fact that he wasn't white. His first victims were his (male) Asian room-mates.
