Roosh V, Pro-Rape Pick Up Artist, Announces Worldwide 'Tribal Meetings'

I think hetrosexual men do have a better idea about what heterosexual women in general find sexually attractive than individual heterosexual women do.
I also think that heterosexual women know more about heterosexual male sexuality in general than individual heterosexual men do.
Stands to reason as far as I can see.

You're good value Phil, you try hard and that's almost endearing in a pitiful way.
But what do we do now, if my & everyone else here's collation of evidence / life experience as "a heterosexual woman in general "doesn't square up with your 'better idea' ? :(

Stamp it out.

By generalizing.

Honestly, it's alright to generalize. It doesn't mean you've got it wrong if there are exceptions. Thus one can say "in general, tigers are yellow-and-black" without implying that there are no white tigers.

Do you think the majority of women, wherever they are in the world fantasise about being fucked by rich CEOs and thats who they want as a partner? Binmen and street cleaners etc do get married and many of them even have kids so someone must find them sexy? Or are the wives of these men all secretly wanting a rich CEO to come along and bang them over the desk?

Partly.

But also looking at what women (and men) do in public...

Phildwyer earlier today:

Call me crazy, but I suspect that a rich CEO is more attractive to more women than a binman. Other things being equal like. Are you really going to dispute that?

'Looking at who tends to have sex and get married'

Like having sex is a holy grail lol. :D

All the women women have said that yes, they do (dispute that)

You clearly don't believe us.

Do you think we are lying to you?

or

Do you think we are unrepresentative of women in general?

Why?

Here's a tidbit of information:
AO3 category breakdown where one of the tags is 'sexual content':

M/M: 157445
F/M: 55983
F/F: 14729

The majority of people writing fanfic on AO3 are straight women and female teens.

Wow. (Link to data please ?)
So.. about 3 x more women get turned on by man on man sex stuff than anything else ? This is both reassuring and also interesting, you know, theoretically.:)

So dwyer, explain your workings. I'd like a breakdown of your research. Detail to me the extensive observational studies of men and women in public that you have conducted. The ones that place you as the authority on this subject. The ones that give you more experience and understanding of what women want than what women understand themselves to want.

I'll accept scanned notes, but please provide full annotated appendices of the raw data for analysis. Thanks.

But you're not "a heterosexual woman in general" are you? You're an individual heterosexual woman. What makes you think your preferences are universal?

I'm beginning to think its a ploy by phildwyer to get the women of Urban to tell their inner-most fantasies. ;)

Reasonably certain he's going to be sat there tonight cranking one out over this thread.

And who says men aren't attracted by power? This is a classic case of a man getting his rocks off by displaying power over women.

Yes i am disputing it. If what you are saying is true most bin men would be virgins into their 50s yet im fairly sure thats not the case.

If you'd look at Roosh's site or similar (which I acknowledge to be a disturbing experience) you'll find them absolutely jam-packed with self-described "beta males" who claim that they never have any sex.

I find it difficult to believe that so many men would lie about such a thing.

I therefore conclude that hypergamy is indeed being practiced more widely and more openly than previously, as more women feel free to pursue their sexual desires openly.

Is Roosh's website representative of men in those professions? It shouldnt be remotely surprising that a website devoted to the topics roosh writes about should be viewed by a fair number of men who are still virgins. I mean it doesnt surprise me at all. :D

So you're basically choosing to believe strange men who you haven't spoken to in weird misogynist forums, over women in your own online community?

nice one.

Yep. I am. I think the majority of women, worldwide, would be horrified by a fat, white man in a suit regardless of how rich/powerful he was. Some women might make a non-sexual decision to pursue a relationship with him for security.

But you're not "a heterosexual woman in general" are you? You're an individual heterosexual woman. What makes you think your preferences are universal?

When exactly is it that individual women's preferences change and become the preferences of the 'women in general' you have so much insight into?

If you were to stop using that word in the sense that only the far outer fringes of MRA use it, you might find that people laugh at you a bit less loudly. x

or, perhaps, that the internet provides more opportunity for those who have difficulty getting laid because of their lack of ANY FORM of sexual advantage (not money / status, I'm thinking more of things like confidence, empathy, charm … or even chiselled cheekbones and six-packs and twinkly eyes) to get together and air their grievances. thus making a small sink of maladjusted loners gain the appearance of "something going on with men worldwide" or a vast social movement, when it's really just a cyber whinefest?

It is a 'self-evident fact' (we like those, don't we, dwyer?) that an awful lot of women like seeing 2 men together, with some in that category preferring more 'feminine' men (a lot of yaoi) or various types of traditionally 'masculine' men (be they bears (which is traditionally aimed at gay men in porn but lots of women like too - the equivalent japanese term would be bara but it's my understanding that's found offensive but some still use it), or your standard muscle stud guys) and everything in between.

The reasons why can be and have been pontificated over time and again. One suggestion is that many women like porn just as much as men (which is something men often deny) and that seeing it between 2 men removes the very uncomfortable realities of the way society/patriarchy/men set up power relationships between men and women; it becomes a free space in which women can enjoy sexual content free of the patriarchy that oppresses them and their sexual lives more specifically.

That's just one possible reading. It might be true for some women. There might be a smidge of that there for most women. I don't know. What is self-evident, however, is that the women who like reading and watching m/m porn and smut find it fucking hot.

"Hypergamy" just means being sexually attracted to people of superior social status to oneself. That's something that can be experienced by either gender, but is more often experienced by women than by men.

The delusion under which Roosh and company labor is that there is something wrong--something morally reprehensible--about hypergamy. There isn't.

what's also not being mentioned in all this generalising is that there is a hell of a difference between what women fantasize about and what they actually want to do. for example, despite the claims by some mra groups, rape fantasies do not correlate with enjoying the expereince of rape.

I personally haven't clicked on any porn for quite a long time (and my spam folder has improved greatly as a result) but.. yes, I'd subscribe to the theory that maybe some women prefer m/m because it does not involve seeing female actors in who knows what predicament performing the sort of fakery that has actual real bearing on our lives. Something like that, possibly.

That's very true. I find m/f and f/f commercial porn distinctly unsexy because of the power dynamics and because of who it is created for. Lesbian porn created by lesbians and for lesbians (which is very different, dwyer, to "lesbian" porn created for men), gay male porn (created for men or created for women), and m/f porn created for women (or for men who don't want your typical commercial porn), is a whole other story.

Of course, when it comes to fanfic, the women writing it are in control of how the women in it act and are acted upon, so what you say doesn't carry over to that instance.

I wonder if some men find it quite threatening that women take control of them in m/m fic?

Maybe someone should write some slash about roosh and one of his followers.
