If he was handcuffed with his hands behind him I think there are a lot of questions to be asked about how he managed to get his hands to the front, and on his gun, to allegedly shoot the custody sergeant then himself without being stopped by any other officer in the vicinity.

In the interest of hard science just had a go at that (keeping hands together rather than handcuffing...!) and it's surprisingly easy and feels quite possible. I didn't even need to get to such a steep angle with upper body, just a lean gave me enough room.
