Er, very clearly bollocks.
So believable that I still believe it.Er, very clearly bollocks.
There's an underlying informal intuitive truth there. So believable that I still believe it.
I don't know why people feel the need to. Is Guardian journalist Polly Torybe behind it?
I'm as much prey to my prejudices as anyone else.I'm not surprised that Toynbee lacks the political and statistical intuition or the design savvy to identify an obvious fraud, but I'm surprised by you.
nice to see you cogently present the reasoning behind the conclusion.Er, very clearly bollocks.
Vast majority at Glastonbury voted Tory, apparently.
Doesn't surprise me, I always suspected as much.
Is 1000 people really enough to be representative?
That the guardian would, and has, in fact, stooped so low. Despite their huge graphic team.
I know, let's do a pie chart!
Side by side with butchersapron's example, I can see the difference. But without the comparison I wouldn't have known it wasn't from the Guardian by the style. And indeed I didn't. Nor did two of their well-known senior journalists. What can I say, I'm not a graphic designer. (And I'd only seen it on my phone at first anyway, not on a big screen). It's the design of the pie chart and labels and the horrid (and superfluous) legend at the bottom that looks wrong
So who created this then?Look at the pie chart and the legend for goodness sake - it's close to bog standard Excel. The Graun has a huge graphics team which would never stoop that low. And look at the title case in "general election" and "did not vote" - hardly house style.
Oh yes, and the absurd and utterly unconvincing numbers.
As for the figures being "utterly unconvincing", aside from the low showing for the Greens, they supported my suspicions. I suppose that's what makes a good lie.
So who created this then?
and how are they doing now?I visited a friend on Saturday and he and his wife voted Conservative. With their 5 month old son they think they will be better off as a family under the Tories.
You're the political genius ( ) Do you think young families with both parents working are better off Under the Tory government?and how are they doing now?
