New Sky woodworking show The Chop (with added white supremacism)

Presume you are referring to the old 'do what thou wilt' shall be the whole of the law' or whatever the deranged half wit said. Always thought that was an odd phrase as if the law is that each individual does whatever they wish that cannot be a law as that term implies a societal or communal approach to rule making.
The trick is finding out what your actual will is, not just doing every thing you take a fancy to

I did a Very Scientific straw poll on Facebook asking who understood "88, 23/16 and 14 words", particularly in relation to each other.

Of the six respondents
  • two had no idea of any of them
  • two knew about 88
  • one knew 88 and 23/16
  • one knew 88 and 14 words
I do wonder just how common knowledge of these codes and symbols is. As we always say, urban is generally something of a skewed sample (in so many different contexts ;) ).

I‘m familiar with 88, 1488, 14 words. Not sure i’d have picked up on 14 by itself, not heard of 23/16 used in this way. There seems to be tons more mentioned on Twitter, 13 etc. which I’ve no idea about.

If ADL are to be believed, white supremacists have basically co-opted numeracy en masse :(
Reading that numerical headfuck, l couldn't help thinking of this fella.

One thing I'm curious about: Presumably antifascists in Bristol have been carefully checking their records for this guy, but - unless I've missed it - nothing has made it out yet, which means we've got a guy here who loves Hitler so much he has it tattooed onto his face who's gone completely under the radar.

How's this happened? I guess it probably means he's not been involved with much - or any - active in-person fascism?

Even if you take away the fash stuff, it doesn't add up. A tattooist and wood worker with no personal online presence? These are two lines of work where you live or die by being able to get the message out - "look what I did today. Limited availability but call for a sitting / furniture commission. 10% off if you quote FBAdvert2020".

It's blatantly not that he doesn't have an online presence, it's that he's successfully managed to hide it. Ditto his nazi associations - nobody with I Love Adolf on his face has no affiliation or at least dalliance with organised groups, it's that he's successfully hidden it.

This story is funny as fuck in itself, but I don't like what's underneath it.

Was thinking the same. My wife is sure she recognises him from being out and about in the area, and he seems to have a reasonably successful trade in joinery locally, if you take his interview with the local paper at face value.

Just random googling around, but a business associate of his (both previously directors of the same carpentry firm) has recently had masked gang members storm his offices demanding money, and there are previous stories of Lumsden planning to set up a tattoo studio with a local Hells Angels chapter. The aforementioned business associate also owns a building which has mysteriously caught fire three times in two years.

I'm sure none of this is connected, obviously.
