Many dead in coordinated Paris shootings and explosions

The events in Paris will be bad news for the refugees. I don't have any doubts about that.

And that's a big reason for this I think. Increase prejudice against them, cause revenge attacks against them, drive them to extremism and so on. There's what? A million or so now in Europe? Fucking bleak times really.

I just can't believe french intelligence have slipped this bad three times. I'm not alleging loon stuff, but 'fortress London' feels like it, if you live there you probably don't notice but the city of is full panopticon.

so why is paris uniquely vulnerable?

Porous borders.

So religiously motivated murder of over 160 people by religious loons that are just as likely to kill someone for being a shia or a christian or for wearing the wrong style of fucking clothes is a wakeup call to france to stop being racist. Would you say the same thing if daesh had bombed say bermondsey or somewhere else in the uk with a reputation for racism. FFS

Beyond racism? What do you think its about then?
Bit early to speculate in too much detail about these particular attacks on what we know so far but if they are ISIS linked then the way that particular ideology appeals to the disaffected and the actions it sanctions are different from say, the riots of 2005. Same racist society, different outcomes.

Erm, maybe it's about people believing in a particular way to restore the Caliphate and their anticipation of the End Times? Maybe it's not all about the west? Maybe they got to think that way all by themselves and the west isn't in control of people's minds yet?

We reap what we sow.
