Manchester United 19/20: You can't win anything with kids (revisited)

Pogba cost us another goal with the stupid hand to ball penalty. At least I made £85 by betting antonio would score first and score anytime.

I dont think its stupid; its glorious in the way great handballs of the past - Suarez, Glenn Hysen etc - are.

What makes it glorious is how even the ref couldn't believe he had actually done it, and had to see it on VAR. Even VAR looked as if they needed confirmation that yes, he had actually done what he did.

edit: here it is, in all its magnificence:

So, I think, it's Champions League if they avoid defeat to Leicester? TBH I'm not sure they even deserve it. Been found out this last 3 games or so.

Edit: can actually get champs league if they lose and Chelsea lose.

so thats the champions liga participation assured. should help with sancho purchase if we can get the deal done.

Who’d have thought the day would come where Man Utd finished 3rd in the Premier League, behind Man City & (33 points behind) champions Liverpool, and their fans would celebrate it.

What a time to be alive :D

Sancho incoming it seems. Hell of good signing of a little pricey. Also £300k per week is a bit rich :hmm:

De Gea + Sancho will cost more a week than Mané, Robertson, Trent, Alisson, Salah, and Fabinho per week.

I rather think of it as yet another disappointing 10/38 of a year for Liverpool.

Feel a bit sorry for Lask, having to nip over to Germany doing the bubble thing, only to be faced with a 0-5 score.

In the Europa League Copenhagen have had a couple of good efforts , open game this and Utd just went close but it was a mile offside .

Even Stevens first half , Copenhagen despite being huge underdogs holding their own and could have scored . They play a high line which Utd have targeted towards the end so expect more of this second half .

United have hit the post twice , Greenwood has hit the post and a goal disallowed for offside. Best striker of the ball in this Utd squad . Copenhagen look tired .

Copenhagen come strait back glorious opportunity but still look a bit leggy. Their style reminds me of Leeds but without a high line

Copenhagen played out of their socks , very unfortunate but a penalty is a penalty and allowed Utd to defend in-depth. Dunno who their coach is but their tactics were fantastic for such a small team . It’ll all be forgotten by Tuesday tea time but they were really good.

stalle solbakken. managed wolves. owners sacked him and replaced him with dean fucking saunders.

Wolves have been a problem for us in recent times. I'm fearful they may pull it off if we meet them in the semi.

Their goalie was brilliant.

Apparently Copenhagens squad is valued just short of £40m which was less than Man Utd paid for one of Pogbas legs. Quite like the Europa League loads of small clubs and then the CL 3rd place group teams come in and there's always a few surprises. If last night was anything to go by the change to a one match format from the standard two leg one makes for a better game , although I do enjoy the tactics over two legs as well. Watched the Inter/Leverkusan game this morning and that was good too. Lukaku was excellent as was Havertz.
The Wolves game will be tight , they aren't big scorers and both teams are compact and industrious .Sevilles record in this competition is impressive. The Shakhtar/Basel game is not easy to pick either although I fancy the former they were in a tough group in the CL with City and Atalanta but took points off both and have played in neutral venues because of domestic problems Both Wolves and Shakhtar managed by Portuguese coaches btw .

1-1. Not surprised. its been a one way traffic since we scored. sitting here thinking, are commentators so blind that they can't see we have not kept possession at all since our goal.
