Laurence Fox. The twat.

What turns a reasonable actor into a raving idiot?

Fox was never going to be Olivier, but certainly could have made a decent living in the trade. It is not beyond the bounds of possibility that 'Lewis' could have been followed by 'Hathaway'.

What makes someone disappear down the anti-vax and misogyny rabbit hole?

Doesn't everyone, when presented with 'facts' such as the abominable Bridgen's assertion re mass deaths from Covid vaccines*, not look for proof, or otherwise, of the assertion?

If information is thin on the ground, then usually the assertion is bullshit, but if you cannot find proof one way or another, then you maintain a neutral stance and await developments.

*Covid vaccines do cause rare cases of cardiac inflammation, however, so does Covid. The Covid engendered cases have been found to be more severe than those caused by the vaccine. Also remember that there are reactions noted with every vaccine in existence, but the evidence is overwhelmingly in favour of vaccination. The rapid rise in measles cases we are experiencing is part in due to misinformation from the likes of Bridgen and Fox.

I quite liked his role in Lewis, played Whateley's foil quite well, too well almost...

Weird isn’t it?
Like most of us can say ‘Irish’ as an independent word, and ‘wristwatch’ too.
Putting them together requires physical and mental discipline, of a kind I doubt Fox has.
Try “I wish to wash my Irish wrist watch”, which is the whole thing. I can say “Irish wristwatch” fast without much trouble, but add the rest and I’m all over the place.

Fox ought to subject himself to a diction test in front of us all in order for us to judge whether he has the right tools to justify calling himself an actor.

This is something I've pondered myself; do the likes of 'Lozza' Fox (a reasonably decent actor, if not a De Niro) or Graham Linehan (writer of some very amusing scripts) ever have sleepless nights, the long cold lonely darkness of the twat, during which they think "FUCK! I've totalled my career, and for what?" Fox is being bankrolled by that curious Reclaim chappie but for how long, especially since he polled less than 2 per cent at the last Mayoral election and this time was so incompetent he failed to get his documentation in correctly.

It would surely have been relatively simple (as I expect Fox's agent was desperately advising him at the time) to issue a conciliatory statement after his Question Time appearance, not grovelling, but just saying something anodyne like "I realise there are different points of view and while I disagree, I respect the other side" rather than doubling down on their pig-headed stubbornness and fucking their careers (and in Glinner's case, his marriage and home as well).

In Fox's case I suspect it's upper-class arrogance, "I am always right even if 99% of the proles disagree with me cos that's what I was taught at Harrow" (see also Boris Johnson and all those other Etonian, Oxbridge cuntoxes). Linehan, I don't know his background, but he surely must've had many a sleepless night in his sofa bed, alone with his Pot Noodle, thinking "Oh fuck me why didn't I just publish some bland press release after it all blew up.

Bridgen, I don't know - arrogance, stupidity, mental illness? David Icke is clearly a mentalist but has managed to monetise his revelations and is doing very well, unfortunately.

My guess would be that with these types, the momentary doubts and regrets they have at night, alone, thinking of what could have been had they acted like adults, is to push such thoughts to the back of their mind as they would be too painful (it's too late now for explanatory and exculpatory announcements that might have salvaged their careers, far far too late). Instead, my guess is that they blame the 'woke agenda'/ the 'globalist conspiracy'/ ' great replacement' theory / Soros etc. Once you've fucked what was a promising career (not Bridgen, I mean Fox and Linehan) wouldn't the knowledge be too much too bear and instead they are pushed further to the extremes of conspiraloondom - I noticed the other day Foxie calling his arch nemesis Khan a "globalist shill" - the language of the loon.

Loons also get a lot of reassurance off their fellow loons. They make each other feel special, even noble. Plus algorithms.
