Well it looks like proper serious kit doesn’t it? I’d expect body armour of that quality to be able to stop a plastic pellet dead in its tracks, so I assume it would negate the hit and the wearer would simply continue the mission. Otherwise what’s the point of wearing it?

It's hard to tell from the pictures on the website, and they don't tell you if it's lined with woven Kevlar or polystyrene foam. I'm guessing the latter, as Kevlar lined armour would be much more expensive.
I wonder if they have different densities of foam lining? I mean will one protect you from a rubber knife, while another will take the full impact of of a subsonic BB from an AK47?

Well, technically so you can role play as Jesee Ventura or Bill Duke, as Arnie doesn't actually get to use the minigun at all in Predator, if memory serves.

I'd get myself one just so I can get to say 'I ain't got time to bleed' when I'm hit.

tbf having a FAC does mean they are fairly responsible although a saiga with a magazine is slightly bigger and heavier than a Bren GUN!
The military style courses are rarely longer than 100m or they'd run out of puff. There was a video of a "professional" skeet shooter taking on one of these causes and completely monstering it with a just a two barrel shotgun. Its relativley harmless and less pyschotic than murdering specially bred slow moving birds

hardcore players put fake steel plates in that weigh the same as the actual ceramic trauma plates! at that point you might as well join the army reserve some buy night vison goggles so they can play at night with special BBs that show up under IR light.
Few nutters try to get simunitions which is military paintball which in no way is at all fun being given an ak47 full of the stuff to play Target for special forces its like live action dark souls you just die repeatidly.

Its not avilable to civillians because the manufactuer won't sell it too anybody whose not police or military as they don't want to be sued for millions when somebody gets injured or killed when somebody mixes sim rounds and live rounds.
Various US gunnuts are really annoyed by this
