Laurence Fox. The twat.

Wonder if LF is a grammar Nazi?

Thinking about it, if he does do posts correcting people... you could get away with calling him a genuine (grammar) Nazi?
I suspect that he'd be very likely to step on his own dick. Going by his writing style, he doesn't look like someone with a care for the finer use of language. He's probably as clodhopping and inept as he is as an actor, martyr, parent, and activist.

Surely it’s:

Is he and Laurence one person?

But

Are he and Laurence two people?

Definitely not. "He and Laurence" is the subject here, and although occasionally two items can be treated as one item (like in the sentence I just used, or "fish and chips is my favourite takeaway"), that's only when they are essentially a compound noun, but this is a straightforward plural. The "one person" part of the sentence is a modifying phrase, not a subject noun.

Won’t link to the Fail, but there are some Lozza-tastic quotes in their coverage of the court case:

“Fox denied that his brother-in-law actor Richard Ayoade was 'furious' with him about the Question Time comments…
'I phoned Richard and said to him this is horrible can you say something and he said 'It's a twitter storm ignore it and it will go away.'”
[surely this should read: 'I phoned Richard and he said 'go away.'”]

“Ms Skinner suggested that it was comments on Question Time that destroyed his career, not the tweets by Thorp, Blake and Seymour…
'No I did have some offers of work, I was immediately offered Gogglebox again, I'd done quite well on Gogglebox’”

“'Despite what I say I am quite shy out on the street. Being too anxious to go out and get a pint of milk, that's pretty devastating’”

“Asked if he was a progressive or a Conservative Fox said: 'I thought I was a bit of a progressive but it turns out I'm Hitler to be honest.'”
