Laurence Fox. The twat.

It’s that dunce take on BLM, interpreting it as ‘Black Lives Matter MORE’ rather than ‘Black Lives Matter TOO’. Though I think in most cases it’s a deliberate misunderstanding, because they don’t agree with the latter either.
tbf a lot of idiots genuinbely really dont get that think the phrase, Black lives MAtter TOO would have cut a lot of the cricitism out and make it much harder for racists to counter with all lives matter, White people arent being choked to death by cops hence the protests. . much like white privilege can rub people up the wrong way its a quick term that doesnt really explain telling poor white people they are privileged is not going to be very succesful . do you think your life would be better or worse if you werent white might but its a mouthful and isnt as easy to say.

And he's probably wearing cheap, nasty "proper" shoes, that never break in well, and even if they do, they're starting to fall to bits before the job is done.

I suspect he's just looking for excuses to mince around in scruffy trainers - that's his wheelhouse.

The poor man. Will his problems never cease?
It’s all a cunning preparation for when he loses the case:

“I would’ve won.
But the judge was a toff -
(unlike me, what is a right regular salty earth geezer what is bloody good mates with cabbies and with my cleaner).
- and His/Her Honour was therefore prejudiced against me because I was wearing scruffy trainers…”

In chess circles this is known as the David Haye defence (“injured my toe while sparring”); or alternatively, the Deontay Wilder defence (“was unable to fight to my best ability due to having been tired out after my ring walk” - due to being weighed down by the energy-sapping and absurdly heavy Mad Max style body armour worn during said ring walk.

This made me laugh.

Following this news, the band’s comments about Laurence Fox have gone viral. In 2020, it was announced BBC Radio 1 would play a censored version of The Pogues’ ‘Fairytale Of New York’ omitting the slurs “f****t” and “clut”. An uncensored edit would later play on BBC Radio 2.

In response, Fox tweeted: “The cultural commissars at the @bbc are telling you what is and isn’t appropriate for your ignorant little ears. Wouldn’t it be nice if we sent the (proper) version to the top of the charts?” He has since taken the tweet down.

The Pogues had only this to say to Fox: “Fuck off you little herrenvolk shite”. Herrenvolk was a concept in Nazi ideology which referred to the German people as being the “master race”.

I wonder if this means the bastard's won? 🥺

No - final arguments from barristers today. Judgement will be given "at a later date".

I guess that from a 'no publicity is bad publicity' perspective, and as long as his 'patron' Jeremy Hosking is willing to fund the Reclaim Party, any result will be 'winning bigly'.
