Dear Neighbours,
As you may know, due to cuts to our funding made by the Government we have been forced to dispose of various sites in order to protect our frontline services.
To keep you informed I wanted to let you know that the council will begin the process of selling the Beaufoy site on Black Prince Road on Saturday. Please see the attached pdf for further details.

Utter utter cnuts.

The building has been left empty for years and the council must have spunked loads of cash on having a security guard sitting there 24hrs to stop it being squatted.

The council have been waiting for an excuse to sell it for ages and now the cuts give them the perfect cover. IIRC the building is under covenant which means it has to be used for the purposes specified (ie education) but fcuk that if the council can make a quick buck.

It reminds me of the LCC school of building on ferndale rd & ducie street in Brixton. Looking at this on street view it looks like it's all flats now but I seem to remember it being a learning centre before we had squat parties there and busses in the back. the future of the Beaufoy looks like this
