Keir Starmer's time is up

That Starmer llama drama was just a really fucking bizarre episode. Exactly who the fuck did he think he was appealing to by taking such a stance? Does po-faced animal destruction focus test well or something?
Animal/nature loving Tories refusing to back the party over animal related issues was identified as a surprisingly important factor in some constituencies in one recent election (2017?) if I recall correctly. So the llama thing was stupid even on narrow political interests grounds.

Again I think the alpaca thing was about demonstrating how hard a bastard Starmer is. Again neutralising attack lines that he's weak. I don't think it was about winning people over.

I'm edging ever closer to calling myself a right fucking Cunt for saying that voting Labour was the only sensible thing to do as they were slightly less of a bunch of cunts than the tories..well on the whole they still are but Starmer is such an enormous cunt that like a black hole, no light is escaping.
what a fucking shitpie

It is total shit but what are the alternatives?

Mentioned it in another thread, but probably more appropriate here. Starmer is the guest on Jessie Ware's most recent podcast. I'm imagining it is pretty cringe... Anyone brave enough to give it a go? :D

The very clear absence of an electoral route to socialism (or at least an electoral route away from catastrophe) isn’t the end of the world. There’s a whole world of struggle and solidarity out there to get yourself involved in. At the very least it’s better to go down fighting rather than endlessly whining about The Purge

The sole Green seat in the UK and Izzard decides that's the one he wants to famous for bringing down.

The fucking twat
Has Eddie been selected to stand for Labour? I suppose someone has to as they will challeng ethe seat, but it' snot a good look. Would just dmonstrate that Starmer isnt' really interested in any kind of 'progressive' alliance

'Progressive' is meaningless wishy-washy nonsense anyway isn't it.
As applied to the progressive alliance yep.

I think there is a context in which, while somewhat incoherent, it has some meaning though.
There is a loose political alignment group that is socially liberal, and at the same time supportive of things like the Green New Deal, higher taxes, wealth redistributive, etc. Yet at the same time they either do not recognise or reject the idea of class struggle.
In terms of 'what they want' there is considerable overlap with social democrats or even some democratic socialists but the basis of the politics is utterly different.
In this context I can see Progressivism as having some sort of meaning.
